I came to England with two small children in 1974 from Chile, after a military coup.I discovered Chinese Medicine after having developed late onset asthma. The asthma was treated very successfully with acupuncture.
A few years later, wanting to change career and do something that would make a contribution to others, I enrolled in an acupuncture course.
I have never looked back. I have been in practice for more than 21 years and I have been teaching for 12 years.
I trained in Acupuncture in the early 80s at the London School of Acpuncture, now University of Westminster. I ended my studies with a trip to China where I obtained a clinical certificate from
Nanjing University in China.
A few years later, I trained as a herbalist with the London Academy under the supervision of Vietnamese Master Thing Thong Nguyen.
I also trained in Shiatsu, Massage, Nutrition and Reiki.
I have attended many advanced seminars in Gynaecology, Skin disease and Infertility.
I also speak Spanish and French.

AREAS OF SPECIALISM
During my 22 years of practice I have acquired great expertise in the treatment of Gynaecological problems.
Especifically painful periods, heavy periods, PMT, infertility, pregnancy and post-natal care.
I worked for a while at Viveka with Yehudi Gordon and his team, gaining great experience on the integrated approach.
I have extensive experience in treating endometriosis and polycystic ovaries and infertility where I use a combination of acupuncture and concentrated herbal powders, adapting my treatment to the phases of the cycle. Many babies have been born thanks to this approach.
I also have experience and good results in treating in conjuction with IVF.
Another area of expertise is in the treatment of mental emotional problems, where my practice of Buddhism combined with the approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine offers help for problems like depression, anxiety, insomnia and the effects of stress created by our lifestyles.
My Shiatsu and massage training has also given me help in treating musculo skeletal problems with success using a combination of massage, guasha, cups, electro-acupuncture and needles.
Finally, I have been given the opportunity, thanks to Dr. Rosy Daniel, to support many patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy with acupuncture. I have also been able to help their immune recovery after these treatments with the help of acupuncture and herbal medicine.
PERSONAL APPROACH
I combine herbal medicine with Acupuncture, massage, nutritional advice and Reiki to give a caring all rounded supportive and effective treatment for most complaints.
When enhancing fertility, I use a combination of herbal medicine in the form of powders or pills and work according to the phases of the cycle. If treating in conjunction with IVF, I adapt my treatment in order to enhance the IVF.
I often use BBT charts in order to get a clearer picture of the condition. For more information on BBT charts go to Fertility friend.com
During pregnancy I treat for morning sickness and any complaints that might arise during the pregnancy. I then do a weekly treatment in the last month of pregnancy in order to help with the delivery.
I also treat for induction of labour when it is delayed.

Post partum is a very important time to receive treatment to recover after pregnancy and delivery.
In the East this is an important time to treat the energy and replenish the blood that has been exhausted with the pregnancy, delivery and breast feeding. Many instances of post natal depression can be easily avoided by nourishing the body properly after delivery.
Post natal depression responds very well to Chinese Medicine.
